HANOI, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's coffee export value surged by 26.2 percent in the first two months of 2025, despite a 28.4 percent decline in export volume, Vietnam News Agency cited the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment as saying on Monday.

The country exported 284,000 tons of coffee during the cited period, generating a revenue of 1.58 billion million U.S. dollars, said the Ministry.

One of the key factors helping the coffee industry achieve remarkable results was the surge in export prices.

The average coffee price in January and February reached 5,574.5 dollars per ton, up 76.3 percent compared to the same period in 2024.

Vietnam targets 6 billion dollars of coffee export this year, said the ministry.
