JERUSALEM, March 4 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli military said on Tuesday that the naval commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Forces had been killed in an airstrike in southern Lebanon.

According to the military, Khadir Sa'id Hashem, commander of Radwan Forces' naval unit, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Qana in Tyre district.

The military said Hashem continued his military activities against Israel even after the ceasefire and played an extensive part in Hezbollah's maritime smuggling operations.

Earlier, Lebanon's National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone launched an air strike targeting a vehicle in the town of Rechknanay in the Tyre district, resulting in one fatality.
