ABIDJAN, March 5 (Xinhua) -- The first National Job and Recruitment Fair in Cote d'Ivoire kicked off Monday in the economic capital, Abidjan, to provide practical employment solutions for young people.

The fair aims to create a unified platform for recruiters, enterprises, consulting agencies, project management departments and job-seeking youth, said Mamadou Toure, Ivorian minister of youth, at the event.

Toure said that 146 companies and recruitment agencies from various fields such as construction, agro-industry and tourism participated in the event.

"In the future, we plan to hold such events quarterly to systematically address youth employment and skills alignment through sustained resource integration," he said.
