LONDON, March 4 (Xinhua) -- British Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner said Tuesday that Prime Minister Keir Starmer would not "choose between the U.S. and Europe" and is working to bring Washington to the table for further discussions on Ukraine.
Asked by BBC Radio 4's Today program about the U.S. decision to pause military aid to Ukraine, Rayner said: "We are focused on support for Ukraine, bringing the U.S. around the table alongside our European partners in Ukraine."
She said Starmer remains "laser-focused" on Ukraine and "won't be derailed" by the announcements on aid pause.
"He will continue that dialogue with our oldest and strongest ally, the U.S., and with European partners and with Ukraine," she added. ■
