CAIRO, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit stressed Tuesday at the ongoing emergency Arab summit on Gaza held in Egypt's New Administrative Capital that violence will not stop if the Israeli occupation is not ended, and any illegal perspective for the region is not accepted.
He also said violence will not be stopped by displacing Palestinians, and the reconstruction of Gaza is viable while keeping its residents on their land.
The summit, attended by Arab leaders and delegations, as well as representatives from international organizations including the United Nations, will later discuss a Gaza reconstruction plan proposed by Egypt. ■
