MANILA, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Over 14.7 million foreign travelers visited the Philippines in 2024, according to the data released by the Bureau of Immigration on Sunday.
The bureau recorded 14,733,597 international arrivals last year, nearing the pre-pandemic figure of 17,085,097 in 2019.
South Korea remained the top source of foreign arrivals, with 1,761,281 visitors, followed by the United States, with 1,325,684 arrivals, and China, with 500,082 inbound travelers.
The bureau said the return of international arrivals to near pre-pandemic levels is "a testament to the Philippines' appeal as a top destination."
The bureau added that international arrivals from India and Singapore have shown significant potential for further growth. ■
