MOSCOW, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Flight arrivals and departures resumed after a brief suspension of operations in Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport on Friday, Russia's aviation authority said.
"Restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were lifted at Sheremetyevo Airport at 03:45 Moscow time (0045 GMT)," the Federal Agency for Air Transport said on its Telegram channel.
The agency said the restrictions were introduced to ensure the safety of flights, but did not explain the reasons for such control.
Temporary restrictions were imposed earlier Friday on the operation of Sheremetyevo airport, TASS quoted the authority's statement as saying.
Sheremetyevo International Airport is one of four international airports in Moscow, and also the busiest one in Russia. ■
