TEHRAN, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Iranian security forces on Tuesday killed one member of the Sunni separatist group, Jaish al-Zulm, and arrested six others in southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
The joint operation by the Revolutionary Guards and Intelligence Service in the province's Chabahar County targeted a cell allegedly involved in Saturday's attack on an office of a major Iranian government housing foundation, which caused structural damage but no casualties, according to Tasnim.
Jaish al-Zulm, which is designated a terrorist group by Iran, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Tasnim said weapons and ammunition were seized during the Iranian security forces' operation.
Jaish al-Zulm has been active in the ethnically diverse Sistan and Baluchestan province and has staged repeated attacks on security personnel and civilians in recent years. ■
