ISLAMABAD, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Ten terrorists were killed when Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said in a statement on Monday.
The operation was launched following reports of militant presence in the Khyber district of the province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani army said in the statement.
Security personnel engaged the hideout effectively, neutralizing the 10 militants, according to the statement.
A clearance operation is underway to clear any remaining threats in the area, the statement said. ■
