BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Fabio Pereyra and Rodrigo Cabral scored goals in each half as Huracan clinched a 2-0 home win over San Lorenzo in Argentina's Primera Division Apertura tournament on Sunday.
Pereyra gave his side the lead by heading home from a set piece and Cabral doubled the advantage with a low finish into the bottom-left corner after Emmanuel Ojeda's through ball.
San Lorenzo had a greater share of possession than the host and completed more passes but managed only one shot on target for the night.
The result leaves Huracan sixth in the 15-team Group A standings with 12 points from seven games, three points behind leader Estudiantes. San Lorenzo is fourth in Group B with 14 points.
In other Primera Division Apertura fixtures on Sunday, Belgrano won 2-0 at home to Defensa y Justicia and Gimnasia prevailed 1-0 at Atletico Tucuman. ■
