BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Jiang Chaoliang, a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, is under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and the law, an official statement said Friday.
The investigation into Jiang, also vice chairperson of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the NPC, is being handled by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement. ■
