DOHA, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Negotiations on the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement have not yet started, Qatar's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said Tuesday.
Speaking at a media briefing, Al Ansari reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to advancing negotiations on the next phase of the ceasefire while noting that implementing the provisions of the first phase under the deal remains the current priority.
The spokesperson also reiterated Qatar's opposition to any measures that would undermine the rights of the Palestinian people, including their displacement.
Al Ansari added a mechanism has been established to receive complaints regarding the entry of aid into Gaza. Additionally, he announced the departure of the 16th batch of sick and wounded individuals from Gaza through the Rafah crossing. ■
