TUNIS, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- A road accident claimed six lives and left nine others injured on Tuesday in Tunisia's southwestern province of Gafsa, the private radio station Mosaique FM reported.
Citing a source from the Gafsa Civil Protection, the report said the accident occurred in the morning on the regional road linking the towns of Oum Laarayes and Redeyef, when a phosphate transport truck collided with a bus operated by Gafsa Transport Company.
Among the victims were the bus driver, the truck driver, and four bus passengers.
Nine other passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees and were transported to the regional hospital in Redeyef for medical treatment. ■
