YANGON, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- A technical training on sugarcane cultivation, funded by the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Special Fund 2022, opened in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday, the state-run daily The Mirror reported on Tuesday.
The training, featuring online lectures by Chinese agricultural experts, covered topics such as biotechnology-based cultivation, tissue culture, quality improvement, the rapid growth of sugarcane, and the production of high-quality sugarcane varieties.
In addition, the training also focused on technical skills, including the use of machinery for sugarcane cultivation and the implementation of sustainable sugarcane farming practices, the report said. ■
