DUBAI, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese tennis player Wang Xinyu suffered a first-round exit at the WTA 1000 Dubai Tennis Championships on Sunday, falling 6-3, 6-3 to qualifier Alycia Parks.
Wang struggled to find her rhythm throughout the match and failed to capitalize on key points against her lower-ranked American opponent.
This marked her second consecutive first-round exit on Middle Eastern hard courts, following a similar early defeat in Doha. Wang has yet to regain the momentum she built at the end of last season. ■
