HANOI, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 22,800 enterprises resumed their operations in Vietnam in January, an increase of 65.2 percent year on year and the highest number recorded in a month since January 2022, local media cited the country's General Statistics Office as saying on Monday.
Almost 10,700 enterprises were newly established in Vietnam last month, up 6.6 percent year on year.
The total number of newly-established firms and those resuming operations reached over 33,400, surging 15 percent compared to the same period in 2024, said the office.
The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise during the cited period hit 8.8 billion Vietnamese dong (over 346,600 U.S. dollars), a decrease of 13 percent compared to the same period in 2024. ■
