BOGOTA, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- America de Cali has completed the signing of Peru international midfielder Luis Ramos on a season-long loan from Cusco FC, the Colombian top-flight club said on Friday.
The 25-year-old has already met his new teammates after completing a medical at the club's Cascajal training base.
"Hello to all of the club's fans. I promise to be committed and to contribute 100%. I'll give my life for this shirt," Ramos said in a brief video posted by America on social media.
Ramos has made 34 appearances and scored 11 goals for Cusco since his January 2024 move from Peruvian rivals Los Chankas.
He was rewarded for his impressive form for Cusco last year with a call-up to Peru's national team, making his international debut in a 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over Uruguay in October.
Ramos is the second high-profile signing for America in less than a month following the arrival of Colombia international playmaker Juan Fernando Quintero from Argentina's Racing Club. ■
