SAO PAULO, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and two others injured when a plane crashed in Brazil's Sao Paulo, the local fire department said on Friday.
The small twin-engine plane crashed on an important avenue in the city of Sao Paulo, hitting a passenger bus.
According to the fire department, the two deceased were the occupants of the crashed plane, while a motorcyclist who was hit by the explosion and a person who was inside the bus were hospitalized with injuries.
The aircraft had left the Campo de Marte private jet airport in Sao Paulo, bound for the southern city of Porto Alegre.
The impact caused the explosion and set the bus on fire, and according to witnesses, the bus had few passengers inside. An explosive noise was heard and a large cloud of black smoke could be seen in the distance at the time of the incident. ■
