GENEVA, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced Tuesday TelevisaUnivision became the exclusive media rights holder of free-to air, pay television and digital platforms, as well as non-exclusive radio rights in Mexico through to 2032.

TelevisaUnivision, a Spanish-language media company and a media rights holder for Paris 2024, has acquired the exclusive media rights in Mexico for every edition of the Olympic Games until 2032, including the right to sub-license media rights within Mexico.

The period covers the Los Angeles 2028 and the Brisbane 2032 Summer Games as well as the Milano Cortina 2026 and the French Alps 2030 Winter Games, also the Youth Olympic Games during this period.

"On behalf of the IOC, I am delighted to announce this new, long-term agreement with TelevisaUnivision, which ensures comprehensive coverage of every Olympic Games edition until 2032 for viewers in Mexico. It follows great collaboration on the Olympic Games Paris 2024 between our organizations," said IOC President Thomas Bach.
