BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Zhao Leji, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing on Wednesday.
Zhao said bilateral relations are at their best in history with fruitful cooperation in various fields, thanks to the strategic guidance of the two heads of state.
China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to build a community of shared future featuring good-neighborliness and mutual prosperity. The NPC is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges with the Kyrgyz parliament, provide a legal guarantee for practical cooperation, and push forward bilateral relations, Zhao added.
Japarov said Kyrgyzstan speaks highly of the concept of building a community with a shared future for humanity and the three major global initiatives proposed by China -- namely the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative.
Kyrgyzstan is willing to maintain mutual support with China on issues concerning each other's core interests, focus on high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, deepen cooperation in various fields, and have close exchanges between legislative bodies, Japarov stated. ■
