BEIJING, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Guoan head coach Quique Setien has stressed the importance of hard work to his players at their training camp in Thailand, the Beijing club said in a statement.
The former Barcelona coach reminded his players of the importance of the training camp before their first training session on Monday, one day after they landed in Thailand, the statement read.
"We all are aware that there are only three weeks left before the start of the Chinese Super League, our preparation work will be quite intensive," he was quoted as saying by the statement.
"I hope everybody bears this in mind and puts all their effort into every training session," he added.
The training camp will last two weeks, during which the Beijing team will play four friendlies, according to the statement.
Beijing Guoan will play away to Yunnan Yukun in its season opener on February 22, before traveling to face Shanghai Shenhua seven days later. ■
