HANOI, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- The gold ring price in Vietnam surged to a new historic peak of over 90 million Vietnamese dong (3,573 U.S. dollars) per tael on Tuesday morning ahead of the God of Wealth Day (Feb. 7), local media reported.
Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC)'s gold ring price shot up by over 1.1 million dong (43.7 dollars) to 88.1 million dong (3,498 dollars) for sellers and 90.1 million dong (3,577 dollars) for buyers per tael, according to VnExpress.
Jewelry firm DOJI's gold ring price was sold at 88.1 million dong for sellers and 89.5 million dong (3,553 dollars) for buyers per tael on Tuesday.
The 10th day of every lunar new year is regarded as God of Wealth Day in Vietnam. It falls on Feb. 7 this year. ■
