ROME, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Juventus continued to bolster its back-line as the Italian Serie A giant on Monday confirmed the loan move of Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly.
Juve had been short of options in defense, having lost Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal to long-term injuries.
Born in 1998, Kelly is a central defender who can also play at left-back. He joined Newcastle from Bournemouth in the summer, featuring in a total of 14 matches for the Magpies.
According to Juve, Kelly has signed a loan deal until June, with an obligation to buy. Before his arrival, the Bianconeri had already announced the loan signing of Renato Veiga from Chelsea and the permanent arrival of Alberto Costa from Vitoria Guimaraes. ■
