ZHUHAI, China, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- China beat Montenegro with a 4-0 clean sweep in the Davis Cup World Group II playoff series at the Hengqin International Tennis Center on Saturday to advance to the Davis Cup World Group II Main Draw.
The hosts took an early 2-0 lead on Friday as Cui Jie defeated Petar Jovanovic and Zhang Zhizhen overcame Aleksa Krivokapic.
China sealed the victory as Sun Fajing and Te Rigele upset Petar Jovanovic and Aleksa Krivokapic 6-4, 7-6 (1), before an inconsequential fourth match saw Sun see off Jovanovic 6-3, 7-5. ■
