NEW YORK, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted 148 km S of Kavieng, Papua New Guinea at 18:26:51 GMT on Friday (2025-01-25 02:26:51 Beijing Time), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 3.91 degrees south latitude and 150.77 degrees east longitude. ■
