SARI PUL, Afghanistan, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Six members of the militant group Islamic State (IS) were arrested in the northern Afghan Sari Pul province, the provincial police said in a statement Wednesday.
The arrested were involved in subversive activities and conducted an explosion in the province a couple of months ago, the statement said.
The police also discovered evidence, including a drone camera, books and a motorcycle, the statement added.
Without identifying the nationality of the detained individuals, the statement noted that security forces will not allow anyone to disturb law and order in the province. ■
