JERUSALEM, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli Ministry of Justice on Friday released a list of 95 Palestinian prisoners, mostly women and minors, slated for release in the first phase of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
According to the agreement, the 95 prisoners are set to be released from Israeli prisons on Sunday, when three Israeli women held in Gaza are set to be released.
As part of the agreement, Israel is set to release about 1,000 prisoners in total.
Israel and Hamas reached the agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza on Wednesday, which consists of three phases toward a "permanent ceasefire between the parties."
The ceasefire is expected to go into effect on Sunday, marking the start of the first phase. ■
