BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Cai Qi on Friday stressed drawing on the spirit of reform and strict standards for the self-supervision and self-governance of the Party, and integrating these principles into the whole process and every aspect of the Party's organizational work.
Cai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting attended by heads of the country's organization departments.
He urged consistent efforts to take enhancing the Party's political building as the overarching principle in strengthening leadership teams, and advance high-quality development with a right view on performance evaluation.
The capacity of primary-level Party organizations in both urban and rural areas should be fully enhanced, with continuous efforts to ease the burdens on those working at the primary level and to improve the efficiency of primary-level governance led by Party building, Cai said.
He also called for further exploration of effective methods to strengthen Party building in new types of economic and social organizations and among groups in new forms of employment.
Li Ganjie, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department, presided over the meeting, urging efforts to cultivate talents that are urgently needed. ■
