MOSCOW, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Russia and Ukraine have exchanged 25 soldiers each in their latest prisoner swap mediated by the United Arab Emirates, the Russian defense ministry said Wednesday.
"As a result of the negotiation process, 25 Russian servicemen were returned from Kiev-controlled territory," it said, adding that 25 Ukrainian prisoners were also freed.
The ministry said the Russian service members are currently in Belarus receiving necessary medical and psychological help. They will soon head back to Russia. ■
