DHAKA, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) and the Directorate General of Food of Bangladesh, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the export of rice from Pakistan to Bangladesh on a government-to-government basis.
Syed Rafeo Bashir Shah, Chairman of TCP, and Md Abdul Khaleque, director general of the Directorate General of Food of Bangladesh, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides on Tuesday in Dhaka, said a ministry press release.
The MoU is expected to open new horizons in stabilizing the domestic rice market and strengthening economic and trade relations, the release added. ■
