ALMATY, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Friday met with Kai-Fu Lee, chairman and EO of Sinovation Ventures, according to the Kazakh presidential press service.
The two discussed the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into various sectors, including education, healthcare, and energy, the statement said.
During the meeting, Tokayev emphasized the strategic importance of adopting cutting-edge technologies and underscored that collaborating with top global experts would help Kazakhstan achieve its ambitious digital transformation goals.
Lee, who has vast experience in AI development and software innovation in both China and the United States, praised Kazakhstan's potential for advancing IT initiatives and building a competitive tech ecosystem.
Sinovation Ventures, founded in 2009 and based in Beijing, is a venture capital firm that invests in startups leveraging AI technologies. ■
