HANOI, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's GDP per capita income reached 114 million Vietnamese dong (4,700 U.S. dollars) in 2024, up 377 dollars from 2023, local media Thong tin Chinh phu (Government Information) reported Tuesday, citing the country's General Statistics Office.
The country's labor productivity in 2024 was estimated at 221.9 million dong per worker, equivalent to 9,182 dollars, an increase of 726 dollars compared to 2023.
The country's labor productivity increased by 5.88 percent thanks to improved qualifications of workers, said the office.
Vietnam aims to lift GDP per capita income to approximately 7,500 dollars by 2030, according to the government. ■
