NEW YORK, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted 50 km W of Puerto, Chile at 23:13:19 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 34.7 km, was initially determined to be at 20.16 degrees south latitude and 70.64 degrees west longitude. ■
