ISTANBUL, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 people were injured in an explosion on Saturday at a building in northwestern Türkiye's Kocaeli province, the state-run Anadolu agency reported.
Preliminary reports showed that the explosion occurred in the Darica district of Kocaeli and was caused by a natural gas leak in a house, Anadolu said.
A fire broke out in the building following the explosion, Anadolu said, adding that health, police, and firefighting teams have been dispatched to the area.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals after receiving initial treatment on the scene from medical personnel, Anadolu said. ■
