TEHRAN, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Iran's intelligence forces have arrested an individual on charge of spying for a neighboring country in the northwestern province of Ardabil, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday.
The individual was arrested by the provincial intelligence unit of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in a "technical intelligence" operation, the report said.
It added that the arrestee spied on behalf of the intelligence service of a neighboring country, without specifying which country. The suspect has then been handed over to the Iranian judicial authorities. ■
