JAKARTA, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's palm oil exports rose by 27.79 percent in October to 2.88 million tons from 2.26 million tons in September, according to data released by the Indonesian Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Association on Tuesday.
Exports of processed palm oil products also recorded a notable increase of 31.66 percent, climbing from 1.57 million tons in September to 2.07 million tons in October.
Exports primarily increased to India, the European Union, Africa, Pakistan, the Middle East, Bangladesh, and Malaysia.
Domestically, palm oil consumption also rose, reaching 2.08 million tons in October as compared to 1.99 million tons in the previous month. ■
