BERLIN, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Harry Kane's return to action is said to have lifted the mood of the Kane family in the enchanting village of Baierbrunn, south of Munich.

Ahead of Bayern Munich's delicate league clash against national rival RB Leipzig this Friday evening, breakfast and dinner talks were reportedly dominated by the Bavarians' top striker's recovery following an injury break of several weeks.

Hopes regarding new goal achievements grow not only for the Englishman's son Louis but also for the German record champions.

While little Louis is keen on further game-ball presents that he's receiving after successful games and storing them in a trophy cupboard, the 2020 treble winners hope for a satisfying end of the 2024 football year.

Four games without the Three Lions' captain, including the first 2024-2025 league season defeat in Mainz, aside from the German Cup exit against 2024 champions Leverkusen, increased the pressure on head coach Vincent Kompany.

Midfielder Joshua Kimmich spoke about "a decisive moment" when crossing swords against Leipzig in the German first flight.

"We must remember our latest defeats when entering the pitch. Everyone must be aware, that this is overwhelmingly important and requires the best performance of every single player," the German international said.

The Bavarians suffered from a drought up front due to a performance low of its wingers such as Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane, and Michael Olise.

The Bavarians' advantage in the league has decreased to only four points ahead of the 15th round of matches with reigning champions Leverkusen catching up on 29 points.

31-year-old Kane seems ready to add more goals to his 14 league hits aside from seven assists. "We can't yet say what role he is to play and have to wait for the final training session, but he will be around after rejoining training," Bayern coach Kompany mentioned.

Next to Kane, full-back Alphonso Davies is expected to return and increase the Bavarians' offensive power while defenders Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae are back.

The English spearhead seemed to already feel the pressure on his shoulders as he spoke about "my son's disappointment when I come home without a new ball."
