BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Brunei launched the "Art for All" exhibition here on Wednesday, in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024, according to local media reports.
The exhibition, held at the Brunei Energy Hub, is open to the public from Dec. 18, 2024, to Jan. 10, 2025, featuring over 100 artworks, including paintings, handicrafts, models, and replicas, local daily Borneo Bulletin reported.
The artworks are creations by persons with disabilities from the charity organization Pusat Bahagia as well as participating schools and non-governmental organizations.
The exhibition is aimed at establishing art as a platform that provides opportunities and equitable rights for persons with disabilities (PWDs), encouraging their active participation in arts, fostering social integration, and raising public awareness about the talents and artistic contributions of the PWDs, the report added. ■
