KABUL, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- At least 68 drug users have made a full recovery and rejoined their families after receiving treatment at a rehabilitation center in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Interior reported on Saturday.
The recovered addicts, after several months of medical treatment and rehabilitation, as well as receiving professional and vocational training, have reunited with their families, it said.
Earlier, about 1,000 drug users recovered and reintegrated with their families after receiving treatment in rehabilitation centers in November.
The Afghan caretaker government has banned poppy cultivation and drug trafficking in its efforts to combat drug addiction and drug menace. ■
