NEW DELHI, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 10 people died, and many others were injured in two separate road accidents in north India on Tuesday, confirmed the local police at both places.
The first mishap occurred in northern state Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district in which seven people died and at least six were critically injured when the vehicle they were traveling in collided with a truck.
In the second accident, a private passenger bus fell into an 80-feet gorge in the Kullu district of the hilly state Himachal Pradesh, killing three people, including the bus driver, and injuring several others.
There were nearly 30 people onboard the ill-fated bus when the mishap occurred. ■
