NEW YORK, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted 28 km SE of Silver Springs, U.S. Nevada at 23:08:30 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 2.9 km, was initially determined to be at 39.23 degrees north latitude and 119.01 degrees west longitude. ■
