RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has undergone surgery for a brain hemorrhage and is currently stable under intensive care, a medical note published by the government said on Tuesday.
Lula had an MRI scan late on Monday in Brasilia after suffering a headache. He was then transferred to the Sirio Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo, where a successful surgery was performed to drain the hematoma, the note said. ■
