BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Tormod Frostad of Norway and French skier Tess Ledeux claimed victory in the men's and women's freeski big air at the FIS World Cup here on Sunday.
22-year-old Frostad collected 183.00 points to seal the win, while Italian Miro Tabanelli finished second with 0.75 behind. Canadian Dylan Deschamps ranked third with 181.00.
In the women's event, Beijing Winter Olympics silver medalist Tess topped the podium with 168.25 points, followed by Switzerland's Sarah Hoefflin with 163.00, while 17-year-old Flora Tabanelli of Italy was in the third place.
"I am so happy, and I love the Chinese fans. I felt bad in the qualification, but the condition gets better today. I will try my best to take competition after competition this season," Tess noted.
China's Liu Mengting and Yang Ruyi ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, in the women's freeski big air.
The men's and women's snowboard big air events will take place on Sunday evening. ■
