ISLAMABAD, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Three people, including a policeman, were killed in firing by unknown gunmen in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday, official sources said.
The incident happened in Lakki Marwat area of the district where the victims were attacked on their way to the country's east Punjab province in a vehicle, the sources added.
The attackers opened fire on the vehicle and fled the scene, the sources said.
An investigation is underway, with initial findings suggesting that the attack was a targeted killing aimed at the policeman who was stationed in Punjab.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. ■
