KAMPALA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Host Uganda has been placed in a tough group in the CECAFA qualifiers for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The qualifiers, comprising eight teams, will take place in Uganda between December 14 to 27.
Uganda was placed in Group A alongside Ethiopia, Tanzania and Burundi.
The draw conducted by Jean Namayega Sseninde, CECAFA Women's Football Development Manager, saw defending champion Somalia drawn alongside South Sudan, Sudan and Kenya in Group B.
"We expect a very competitive tournament with the youngsters expressing themselves as much as possible," added Sseninde. ■
