HOUSTON, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported a decrease of 5.935 million barrels of crude oil in U.S. inventories for the week ending Nov. 22.
Analysts expect a hike of 0.250 million barrels for this week.
The API reported an increase of 4.753 million barrels in the previous week.
Oil prices dipped on Tuesday.
The West Texas Intermediate for January delivery decreased 17 cents, or 0.25 percent, to settle at 68.77 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery dropped 20 cents, or 0.27 percent, to settle at 72.81 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. ■
