BEIJING, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Jordan Stolz of the United States clinched his third gold at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Nagano, Japan, after finishing first in the men's 1,000m event on Saturday.

Stolz, who was crowned in both the men's 500m and 1,500m events on Friday, clocked a track record of one minute and 7.18 seconds in the 1,000m race. Jenning De Boo of the Netherlands was 1.11 seconds behind to take the silver, while American Cooper Mcleod won a bronze.

Another track record was registered by Davide Ghiotto of Italy in the men's 5,000m, who finished in 6:12.71, followed by Beau Snellink of the Netherlands. Sander Eitrem of Norway ranked third.

In the women's 1,000m, Miho Takagi of Japan seized the gold at home in 1:14.60, 0.36 seconds ahead of runner-up Jutta Leerdam of the Netherlands. The bronze went to American Brittany Bowe.

Canadian Ivanie Blondin claimed the women's 3,000m gold in 4:03.76. Ragne Wiklund of Norway finished second, and the Netherlands' Joy Beune was in the third place.

The best result for Chinese skaters on Saturday was the sixth-ranked Han Mei in the women's 1,000m.

The ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Nagano will conclude on Sunday, with 500m, team pursuit, mass start, and mixed relay events to be staged.
