DAMASCUS, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Explosions were heard in the Sayyidah Zaynab area on the outskirts of Damascus on Sunday, Syrian state television reported.
Sayyidah Zaynab, located just south of the Syrian capital, is home to a prominent Shiite shrine and has been the target of Israeli attacks in the past. ■
