BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) announced that a local company has concluded testing in the fintech regulatory sandbox, local media reported on Tuesday.
According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin, Jana Kapital, a peer-to-peer (P2P) crowdfunding platform in Brunei, has completed the testing, and the company's financial solution provides an alternative source of financing for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Brunei is a Southeast Asian country located in the northern part of Borneo Island, with a population of 340,000 citizens. The fintech regulatory sandbox was established by the central bank in 2017 to facilitate fintech development. ■
