HONG KONG, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 hit Fiji region at 1117 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 573.7 km, was initially determined to be at 21.55 degrees south latitude and 178.88 degrees west longitude. ■
